"Exploring Asia" - A series of cultural exchange programs specially designed for international or exchange students in Hong Kong to travel around Asia. Macau is selected to be the first station!

The culture of Macau is characterized by the fusion between the Portuguese and

Chinese cultures. Its architecture, art, religion, traditions, food and community reflect the integration of Chinese, Western and Portuguese cultures. The greatest of these continues to be Macau's unique society, with communities from the East and West complementing each other, and the many people who come to visit.

Understanding the lives of Macau people through a series of cultural and historic sites e.g. Ruins of St. Paul's (大三巴牌坊), Kwun Ya Kai - Taipa (官也街), The Venetian Macao (威尼斯人) etc.

Macanese Cuisine

Pastéis de Nata (Portuguese egg tarts) and ‘pork chop buns’ are famous local snacks. Other Macau delicacies like almond cakes, egg rolls, peanut candies, roasted sliced meat are cooked right in front of you !

Gather at Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal 港澳碼頭
Arrival at Taipa Ferry Terminal
Go to University of Macau (UM) 澳門大學(Campus tour)
Interacting with Macau university students
Enjoy lunch gathering with Macau friends

Afternoon

Go to The Venetian Macao 威尼斯人 - the "Las Vegas" in Macau
Taipa city center - Rua do Cunha (Kwun Ya Kai) 官也街 - fused with local cuisine and souvenirs

Try Macanese food e.g. Pastéis de nata, Pork Chop Buns, Durian-Flavour Ice Cream, Agar-Agar Cakes, Almond Cakes and more
Go to Ruins of St. Paul's 大三巴牌坊 - the most-go spot in Macau
Museum of Macau - a space dedicated to the history and culture of Macau

Night

Traditional Macanese dinner - a fusion of Portuguese and Chinese cuisines
